| With his friends cheering on and metallic shades glinting in the artificial lights, Chris Moneymaker won the 2003 World Series of Poker with a full house consisting of three fives and two fours. The 27 year old accountant took home a first prize of $2.5 million dollars in the victory. By early Saturday morning, the field of over 800 participants had been narrowed down to just two people, Moneymaker and Sam Farha. In his losing hand, Farha had a jack and a 10, and ended up with two Jacks after the flop, compared to Moneymaker's full house. Moneymaker took home $2.5 million dollars in the win. |
